Hybridcast Technical Specifications

The IPTV Forum Japan published a set of Hybridcast technical specifications v.1.0 in March 2013, which realizes a new generation of connected TV services. The remarkable feature of Hybridcast is the world's first adoption of HTML5, the latest web standards W3C developed, in the broadcast-centric connected TV standard.

In September 2014, the IPTV Forum Japan released Hybridcast technical specifications v.2.0 with additional features such as MPEG-DASH, an adaptive streaming standard and non-broadcast-oriented managed services.
